Stripes in red and orange
Painting: striped paintings (and process photos). WIP.
"Orange and red stripes on white" (wip, 3x state 4). Acrylics on paper, cut up and mounted on paper, then manipulated, soaked in coffee, and mounted on coloured paper. Afterwards cut up again and mounted on heavy paper. 2018. (3x) 81x65cm

Each of the state 4 paintings above were made from two state 3 paintings (seen in the photos below); one orange and one red. Each state 3 painting was sliced up, and the slices from both paintings were combined into one.

State zero, the initial state, was state 1 before the 6 paintings were cut up in stripes and reassembled. So, each of the six were originally half the width of state 1. the white "stripes" were not part of state zero, these are actually the white background that the cut up stripes was mounted on.
